Automated copy trading on Polymarket

WhalesInsider tracks large Polymarket wallets, scores them on their settled record, and shows subscribers what copying each one would have paid. This page describes the next step — placing those copies automatically — and, more to the point, the limits of what the integration is able to do.

Status: in development. Following a wallet today sends you an alert, and copying a trade is a button you press yourself. Automatic placement is described here because it is what we are building and what we are asking Polymarket to enable; it is not switched on, and nothing on this page is live yet.

What it does

A subscriber picks wallets from the traders table — ranked by what following each one would have returned over a window they choose. When a followed wallet buys into a market, the integration places the same side for the subscriber, sized by their own rule rather than the whale’s, within limits they set in advance.

Orders are the subscriber’s own: their funds, their account, their position. WhalesInsider routes the order and keeps the record. It does not pool money, manage a fund, or take a share of anyone’s position.

How it is authorised

Through Polymarket Session Keys. The subscriber signs one authorisation with their own wallet, which appoints our signer to trade for their Deposit Wallet. We never see, hold, or store a private key, and no password or seed phrase is ever requested.

The properties that matter, all enforced by Polymarket rather than by us:

Limits the subscriber sets

Authorisation is not the same as consent to anything. Before a single order is placed, the subscriber fixes the boundaries, and the integration refuses to act outside them:

What we cannot do

We cannot withdraw or transfer funds, change account settings, sign anything other than an order, or act after the key expires or is revoked. There is no arrangement in which WhalesInsider holds customer assets.

Risk

Copying a wallet is not a strategy with a known outcome. Every figure we publish is settled history, measured on resolved markets, and a wallet that was right for ninety days can be wrong tomorrow — several of the best records in our own table contain long flat stretches and deep drawdowns, which is why the table draws the shape of the return rather than only its total. Prediction markets can lose the full stake on a single resolution. Availability follows Polymarket’s own: where Polymarket does not serve a person, neither does this.
